It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Callie G. Flinchum of Carthage, North Carolina, who passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Spurgeon Cade and Martha Harward Glosson; her husband Jack Flinchum; and her brothers, Spurgeon, Bill, Harward, Franklin and Dan Glosson.

She is survived by : her children, Ricky Flinchum (Gloria) of Carthage, Melanie Smoak (Charlie) of Carthage, Betsey Bailey (Dean) of Carthage and Mary Salzwedel (Todd) of Robbins; and her grandchildren, Jacob Flinchum, Laura Keown, Joel Flinchum, Rebecca Smoak, Daniel Smoak, Audrey Cagle, Rachel McLeod, Paul Ring, Lauren Salzwedel, Leah Salzwedel and Caleb Salzwedel. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
