He was predeceased by: his father James Howard Carpenter. He is survived by: his mother Linda Carpenter Daggerhart (Phillip) of Carthage; his children, Steven C. Carpenter of Carthage and Sherry L. Carpenter of Carthage; and his siblings, Thomas Carpenter of West End, Adam Carpenter (Christina) of Robbins and Angela Carpenter of Fredericks, Maryland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tyson's Creek Baptist Church (10891 Siler City Glendon Rd, Bear Creek, NC 27207).
