With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Charles Goodwin of Carthage, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025 at the age of 52. As we bid Dennis farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dennis is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Richard Jackson; his brother Dana Allen Garner; his uncles, Robert and Jimmy; his aunt Theresa; and his grandparents, Bud Garner and Marguree Collins Garner.
He is survived by: his mother Susie Garner Jackson; his uncle Carl Garner; his aunts, Darlene and Annette of Pennsylvania; and his pet Rolly Polloy.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Open Arms Community Church (244 South St, Vass, NC 28394).
