It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Dean Wheeler of Carthage, North Carolina, born in Columbia, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Margaret Delaney; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Pierce. He is survived by : his wife Alice Wheeler; his son Steven Wheeler (Margaret); his grandchildren, Declan and Aubrey; his daughter Diana Pinkos (Matt); his grandchildren, Jacob and Emily; his brother Daniel (Kathy); his nieces and nephews, Dale (Cheryl) and Brianne (Steve); his sister Debbie Pierce; and also Vincen.
