It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Clayton Hipp of Carthage, North Carolina, born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father John Wayne Hipp. He is survived by : his mother JoAnn Brewer Hipp; his wife Teresa Frye Hipp; his children, Rev. Joanna Hipp of Oak Island and John Hipp (Elizabeth) of Garner; his stepson Matt Kinker of Hamlet; his brother Dean Hipp (Kris) of Southern Pines; and his grandchildren, Jordan Hipp and Boston Kinker.

“I meet Eddie back when I worked for Tekelec in Morrisville. He was someone you wanted to talk to because he was a friend as well as a person so full of life. It's hard to believe his life here has ended but for sure the next life which he is in with the lord is fuller there then ever here. Good friends are hard to find, and Eddie was that to everyone.
