He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Benjamin Turner and Catherine Edmonds Turner; his wife Barbara Alice Turner; and his brother Earl Turner. He is survived by: his children, Scott A. Turner of Florida, Susan Turner Hood of Texas and David C. Turner (Lori) of Tennessee. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
