She is survived by: her children, Willie Steve Hinesley (Jennifer) of Carthage, Kenny Atkins (Mary) of Pittsboro, Johnny Atkins (Frances) of Southern Pines, Mark Atkins of Sanford and Gail Atkins of Fayetteville; her brother Peter Schmidt (Erica); her grandchildren, Kayla (Daniel), Jessica (Tyler), Abby (Joe), Marc Daniel, Beth (Tim), Dina (Brandon) and John (Rachel); and her sister-in-law Ruby Cox of Cameron.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Highland Baptist Church (5587 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Highland Baptist Church Cemetery (5587 US-1, Vass, NC 28394).
