It is with sadness that the passing of Lendon E. Spivey of Carthage, North Carolina is shared. Lendon, born on June 6, 1938, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Lendon will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Lendon by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Lendon is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Lendon’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Calvin Madison Spivey and Sadie Brady Spivey; his wife Helen Britt Spivey; his son Ricky Spivey; and his grandson Cooper Spivey.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Spivey Taylor (Terry) and Johnny Spivey (Tara); his daughter-in-law Sandra Spivey; and his sister Maxine Spivey Tippett. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Putnam Friends Church (136 Putnam Church Rd, Carthage, NC 28327).
