As Michelle Sturdivant departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Michelle Sturdivant. Though Michelle Sturdivant may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie F. Sturdivant and Sallie Vaughn Sturdivant. She is survived by: her husband Matthew McLain; her children, Emily A. McLain (Bradley Deaton), Averi E. McLain and Ethan M. McLain of Carthage; her sister Jenny S. Dunn (Matthew) of Foxfire; and her nieces, Laney and Kinsley Dunn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fry & Prickett Funeral Home (402 Saunders St, Carthage, NC 28327). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (1838 Bethlehem Church Rd, Carthage, NC 28327).
