He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Labon Seawell and Marie Boyte Seawell; his children, James R. Seawell of Lugoff, SC and Vivian-Leigh Harder; his grandson Michael L. Keaton of Gaston, SC; and his siblings, Mary McGinnis, Cecil Seawell and Clinton Seawell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jaimie A. Seawell of Louisiana and Carolyn Seawell Keaton (Yale) of Lugoff, SC; his granddaughter Angela D. Keaton of Gaston, SC; his great grandchildren, Kira and Austin; and his siblings, Carolyn Seawell, Doris Wann, Kenneth "Mickey" Seawell and David Seawell.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (1751 Gause Blvd W, Slidell, LA 70460).
