He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Luther and Jessie Muse Brown; his wife Edna Burlene Brown; his siblings, Beulah McNeill, Johnsie Dattilo, Joyce Mabe, Audrey Benner, Melvin Brown, Gerald Brown and Doug Brown; and his nephew Stephen Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Brown Simpson (Jerry) of West End and Marvin Martindale (Julie) of Bear Creek; his grandchildren, Chris Simpson (Carolyn), Holly Cirillo (Steve) and Scott Simpson (Carrie Yow); and his great grandchildren, Lily, Zoe and Max Cirillo.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Bible Church (509 Niagara Carthage Rd, Carthage, NC 28327). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
