He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin W. Rainey and Pauline H. Rainey. He is survived by: his wife Fern Laudenslager; his children, Cynthia Abernethy (Mac), David Rainey (Becky) and Chip Rainey; and his sister-in-law Kristen Parsons (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Wake Memorial Park (7002 Green Hope School Rd, Cary, NC 27519).
