She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William Stephens (Bill); her children, Monica Stephens Williford (Brian) and Todd Stephens (Barbara); her grandchildren, Hayden Williford, Collin Williford, Ava Stephens and Jackson Stephens; her siblings, Sandra Cross and Sanford Cross Jr. (Pam); and her parents, Sanford Cross and Natalie Cross (Monteith).
A reception will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite children's organization or to Dawn's favorite cause, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
