He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Tickle and Nannie Covington Tickle; his siblings, Maxine Rich and Bob Tickle; and his brother-in-law Howard Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Joyce Tickle; his children, O'Neal Tickle (Lenora) of Cary and Rita Hodges (Jim) of Charlotte; his siblings, Richard Tickle (Bain) of Blowing Rock and Clesta Tickle of Jacksonville, FL; his niece Sue Swick (Dave) of Jackson Springs; his grandchildren, Broc Tickle of Carlsbad, CA, Colton Tickle (Morgan) of Raleigh, Carson Tickle of Wilmington, Reece Hodges and Will Hodges of Charlotte; and his great grandchild Mila Tickle of Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory can be made to the Ashley Heights Baptist Church Cemetery maintenance fund.
