He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Tillman Ellis and Queen Vistie Snipes Ellis; and his siblings, Clarence Ellis, Virgil Ellis, Albert Ellis, Robert Ellis, Arthur Ellis, Earl Ellis, Pete Ellis, George Ellis, Jessie Grimm, Dorothy Hall, Clara Vespoint and Margaret Mondozzi.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Ellis; his sons, Scott Ellis and Gregg Ellis; his daughters-in-law, Heather Ellis and Susan Raffa; and his grandson Matthew Ellis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
