She was predeceased by: her parents, James Godwin Welch and Callie Pate Welch; her husband Fred D. Lockhart, Sr.; her sister Paulette W. King; and her brother-in-law Leonard King.
She is survived by: her son Fred D. Lockhart, Jr. (Crissy); her grandchildren, Sofia, Ashlyn, Blake, London, Smith and Ian; and her siblings, Linda W. Sanford, Debra W. Currin and Jimmy W. Welch.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (218 S Academy St, Cary, NC 27511).
