With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Goldie Ivey Noble in Cary, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Andrew Ivey and Lottie Mae Guinn Ivey; her husband George Noble; her daughter Charlene Riggs Clayton; her brothers, James, Paul and Charles; and her son-in-law Edward Nicholson.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda R. Nicholson of Cary, NC, Marlene Riggs of Jacksonville, FL and Jesse B. Riggs, Jr. of Cove City, NC; her grandchildren, Lance Clayton of Pensacola, FL, Heather Clayton Legnard of Alplaus, NY, Adrienne Davis Abudo of Washington, NC and Brandon Davis of Jacksonville, FL; her niece Dawn Riggs Register of Cove City, NC; and her great grandchildren, Lorelei, Liam, Charles, James, Nicholas, Olivia, Victor, Colin and Chloe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home & Cremations (702 N Queen St, Kinston, NC 28501). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Goldie's memory to Transitions Life Care, Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC or to the charity of your choice.
