In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John Newton had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John Newton may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Scrivner and Loyal Scrivner; his wife Sandra Lee Spier Scrivner; and his brother James. He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Graham and Bobby Joe Scrivner; his sons, Brett Scrivner (Sharon Lord) and Zach Scrivner (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Molly and Darren Scrivner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
