He was predeceased by: his father Jack Whelan. He is survived by: his mother Beverly Whelan; his wife Sallie; his sons, David (Sarah) and Michael (Lucy); his grandchildren, Nora, Avery and Jack; and his siblings, John (Yvonne), Tom (Ruth), Dan (Maureen) and Mary Jarvis (Dan). He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
