He is survived by: his significant other Shirley; his sons, Neal Cooper (Joy) of Raleigh and Scott Caudill of Cary; his sister-in-law Janet Nichols (Bill) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Wil Pipkin, Brooke Pipkin and Lizzie Cooper; his brother Tony Caudill (Sheila); and his nephew Jamie Caudill of Fletcher. He is also survived by aunts and cousins along with many friends.

Donations may be made in Maynard's honor to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, P. O. Box 942, Sparta, North Carolina 28675.
