He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Walter Kellen and Florence Barksdale Kellen; and his sons, Stephen Michael "Mike" Kellen and David Jonathan Kellen. He is survived by: his wife Janice Watts Kellen; his daughter Kristin Kellen Johnson "Kristi" (Clint) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Kellen James Johnson, Claire Elizabeth Johnson of Raleigh and Olivia Jane Kellen of Siler City; his brother Stephen Kellen of Louisburg, NC; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Winecoff and Kerry Watts; his nieces, Carrie Shevelson, Amy Stephenson and Jenny Alexander; and his nephew Josh Kellen.
