He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelma Cahill and Frank Cahill; his wife Cindy Smith; his son Richard Cahill, Jr. (Janice Cahill); his granddaughter Charlotte Cahill; his sisters, Patti Henke (Joey Lovejoy) and Cathy Eckart (David Eckart); his siblings' children, Amy Henke (Jason Miles), Jennifer Ford (Kevin Ford) and Jeffrey Eckart (Phong Nguyen); and his great-niece Clementine Cahill Miles.
