He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Via and Allan Via. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Lane Via of Durham, NC and Tracie Via of Newport, NC; and his sister Betty Garland (Franklin) of Hillsborough, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
