Ronnie left this world on September 22, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herl Coats and Janie Coats; and his siblings, Betty Pleasant and Jackie Coats. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Coats; his children, Mark Coats (Jackie) and Melissa Miranda (Tony); his grandchildren, Emsley, Karis, Kyla Coats, Andrew and Alexandra Miranda; and his siblings, Reverend Robert Coats (Joyce) and Kim Haddock (Eddie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (7100 Holly Springs Rd, Raleigh, NC 27606). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens (2712 Oak Grove Church Rd, Angier, NC 27501).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NC Baptists on Mission, MBC Missions Projects, or The Children's Place at Macedonia Baptist Church.
