We are sad to announce that, on May 12, 2026, at the age of 83, Ruth Agnes Dunkley Clayton of Cary, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Dunkley and Agnes Harris Dunkley; and her brother Ronnie Dunkley. She is survived by: her husband Edward Clayton; her sons, Gary Clayton of Person County and Kevin Clayton (Patti) of Cary; her brothers, Donnie Dunkley (Rozelyn) of Henderson and Shaub Dunkley of Candler; and her siblings-in-law, Lois Dunkley of Roxboro and Earl Clayton of Cary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
