We announce the death of Sally Lee Eckhart (Cary, North Carolina), who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Horn and Eileen Horn (Olmsted); her husband Donald L. Eckhart; and her sister Susan K. Lane of Marshalltown, Iowa.. She is survived by: her siblings, Tereca "Teri" Ridout of Wake Forest, Alan "Butch" Horn (Debbie) and Todd Horn (Carol) of Melbourne, Iowa; her children, Kelly Johnson (Jim) of Charlotte and Michael Eckhart (Jennifer) of Fredericksburg, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Kiersten Lawson (Greg) of Holly Springs, Kaitlyn Medlin (Harley) of Wilson's Mills, Austin Eckhart of Falls Church, Virginia, Logan Eckhart and Ashlyn Eckhart of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and her great grandchild Lucas Lawson.
