He is survived by: his children, Alivia Foster (Doug) and Thomas Kessler; his stepdaughters, Michelle Widmann (Chris) and Antoinette "Toni" Dirkes (Jim); his sister-in-law Barbara Kessler; and his grandchildren, Grant, Nathan Widmann, Matthew, Aaron Pflum, Michael, Maria, Angela, William and Anna Dirkes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
