He is survived by: his children, Donna Short (Neal) of Casar, Bobby Benton of Bostic and Brian Benton (Stephanie) of Casar; his grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Brandy, Dustin, Cheyenne, Zathan and Gary, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Max, Emory, Lennon, Marley, Sunny, Skylar and Merena; and his sister Lillie Earl (Wayne) of Polkville.
