She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie James McSwain and Mae Causby McSwain; her sons, Ronnie Ward and Tommy Ward; and her sister Hattie McMurry.
She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley McSwain Bridges and Dale McSwain (Wanda) of Shelby. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
