He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Woodruff (Clyde Dawson Lucas); and his siblings, Ernest B. Woodruff, II, Billy D. Woodruff, Bobby G. Woodruff (Bernice R. Woodruff), Carrie Bridgers, Cora Faye Holmes, Sue Coughlin, Virginia Bunn and Vivian Woodruff.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Woodruff; his children, Rebecca A. Woodruff, Joseph R. Woodruff (Teresa), Ricky Woodruff and James Woodruff (Nancy); his grandchildren, Matthew R. Woodruff, MaKayla I. Hackney (Brandon) and Caitlyn M. Woodruff; his great grandchild Rhyatt Woodruff; his brother Johnny Woodruff (Brenda); and his nephew Ernest "Pookie" Woodruff (Edna).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
