She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hughes and Bessie Duncan; and her son Herschel Boyd. She is survived by: her husband Herschel Leon Boyd of Castle Hayne, NC; her children, Jackson Boyd of Topsail, NC and Janie Boyd; and her grandson Harley Boyd.
