He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Julius Moore and Agnes DeNicola Moore; his daughter Angela Moore Butner; his grandchild Allison Elizabeth Moore; and his siblings, Arthur E. Moore, Gilbert "Buddy" Moore, Julius Moore, Dolores McGee, Anna Mae Mintz, Edna Warner, Regina McKeithan and Ina King.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Wolfe Moore; his son Michael Moore; his son-in-law Greg Butner (Mary); his grandchildren, Ford Butner, Maggie Butner, Brittany Funderud (Phillip), Colin Moore, Kennedy Wiseman, Ansley Collins, Walker Heidenreich and Weezie Heidenreich; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Stiller and Willow Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wrightsboro Baptist Church (2736 Castle Hayne Rd, Wilmington, NC 28401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wrightsboro Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund or the Cape Fear Optimist Club.
