He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hefner and Blanche Hefner. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whitener Hefner; his children, Kimberly Cloninger (Jerome) of Burlington and Jeremy Hefner (Tracey) of West End; his sister Shelby Fulbright (Claude) of Conover; his grandchildren, Beth Yost (Brent), Aimee Leger (Brooks), Jeremiah Cloninger (Autumn), Ella Cloninger, Zeke Cloninger, Jacob Hefner (Rebecca Lippard) and Maddy Hefner (Andy Ambriz-Cortes); his great grandchildren, Remi, Deliah, Wyatt Yost, Burke, Boone Leger and Amelia Cloninger; and his friend Jayla Ikard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church (9379 NC-127, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at the same location.
