She was predeceased by: her parents, George Black and Zora Davis Black; her husband Richard Sherrill; her brothers, Worth Black, Page Black, Fay Black, Gerald Black and Ford Black; her son-in-law Andy Gilbert; and her grandson Kyle Gilbert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Sherrill Drum (Bob) of Newton, Annette Sherrill Gilbert of Catawba and Christi Lynn Sherrill of Catawba; her sister-in-law Jean Black of Catawba; her granddaughter Mindy Drum Lail (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Ashlyn Cody, Brennan Cody and Delylah Lail; her stepgreat-grandson Chandler Lail; and her pet Ozzy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Pisgah Methodist Church (4950 Little Mountain Rd, Catawba, NC 28609). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
