He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Little Matthews and Violet Irene Lail Matthews; his sister Carolyn Jane Icenhour (Daine); and his sister-in-law Regina Matthews. He is survived by: his siblings, Harvey Matthews (Linda), Terry Matthews and Janice Goodson (Terry). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Bethlehem Church of God (2451 Icard Ridge Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
