He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey "Hobby" Edwards and Verona Brown Edwards; his siblings, Dewey Edwards, G. I. Edwards and Virginia "Sis" Edwards; and his daughter Jenny Edwards Fisher.

He is survived by: his wife Ramona White Edwards; his daughter Ida Edwards Marlowe (Bradley) of Catawba; his sister Patricia Edwards of Catawba; and his grandchildren, Rylan Edison Fisher (Mahayla Finney) and Brooklan Marie Fisher.
