He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Calvin and Catherine Shook Hedrick; and his brother Clyde Shook. He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Lee Hedrick of Catawba, Shelby Clayton (Carl "Tom" Thomas) of Lincolnton, Sandra Fraley (Walter) of Middleburg, FL and Kathy Seale (Stephen) of Catawba; his nephew Jonathan Deaton of Catawba; and his brother Michael Shook of Catawba.
