He is survived by: his children, Antoine Reid of Catawba, Ketawan Ingram of Lincolnton, Shannon Stockton (Fredrick) of Conover and Sasha Reid of Hickory; his siblings, Reggie Wilkes of Conover, Gerald Wilkes of Hickory, Ruby Wilkes Hewitt of Newton, Pamela Wilkes Mauney of Hickory, Robin Dean (Jonathan) of Catawba and Adeline Wilkes of Statesville; his grandchildren, Jordan, Shanae, Elijah, Haylee, Zoey, Saniyah, Alaina, Keyontae, Aurianna, Jazmyne, Kamilah and Kamiyah; and his aunts and uncles, Georgia Lineberger, Carol James, Mary Wilkes, Nancy McCombs, Bernice Wilkes, Walter McCombs and Jamie Wilkes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brown's Chapel (1346 Brown Chapel Rd, Catawba, NC 28609). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilkes family to offset funeral expenses.
