He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Hollar and Neta Fostena Hollar; his wife Linda "Granny Pooh" Hollar; his children, Martin Hollar, Kirk Hollar and Kellie Hollar Vinson; his grandsons, Grey Vinson and Hunter Hollar; and his siblings, Gary Hollar and Betty Bostain.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Noah Elkana Hollar (A. J. Hollar), Grant Vinson, Megan Hollar and Graham Hollar; his great grandchildren, Jedidiah Elkana Hollar, Laurel Hollar and Crew Vinson; and his children-in-law, Doug Vinson of Conover, Vicki Hollar and Alicia Hollar of Conover. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
