He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Finley and Nell Finley. He is survived by: his wife Delores "Dee" Finley; his children, Carmelle Martin (David) and David Finley (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Hannah Ford (Luke), Sarah Martin, Sedona Snead (Trace) and Ayla Finley; and his great grandchildren, Weston and Jane.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the East Maiden Baptist Church (1400 E Maiden Rd, Maiden, NC 28650). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in Gene's honor may be made to East Maiden Baptist Church.
