He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Young and Laura Duckworth Young; and his brother Richard Young. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Lapinsky Young; his children, Matt Young (Elsie) of Catawba and Amy Escalante (Michael) of Charlotte; and his granddaughter Hailyn Escalante.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Center Church (4945 Sherrills Ford Rd, Catawba, NC 28609).
