With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alice Hilburn of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alice left this world on November 10, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee Phelps and Gertrue Bell; her husband Bobby Earl Hilburn; and her sister Norma Jane Dailey. She is survived by: her children, Laura H. Shook (David) of Red Springs and Jeffrey S. Hilburn (Lynne) of Cerro Gordo; her grandchildren, Bailey Lauren Shook Medlin, Morgan Lee Shook and Cory Austin Hilburn; and her great grandchildren, Hampton, Palmer and Levi.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Porter Swamp Baptist Church (8975 Andrew Jackson Hwy SW, Cerro Gordo, NC 28430).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Porter Swamp Baptist Church.
