She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Henry Suggs and Mildred Smith-Suggs; her husband Clarence Keel; her siblings, Franklin "Frankie" Lionel Suggs of Chadbourn and Joanne Darden (Suggs) of Queens; her children, Luvenia Keel, Clarice Keel, Clarence Gregory Keel and Mildred Keel-Williams; and her granddaughter Ashley Carson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Fedrick, Marilyn Simmons, Sylvia Keel and Melody Keel; her nephews, James Darden and Cedric Scott; and her grandchildren, Latasha Fields (James), Tyneka McGlone (Taj Sr.), Khareef Keel, Travis Patterson (Ashley), Anthony Keel (Williams), Joseph Keel (Patrice), Alicia Keel, Antwone Patterson, Calvin Williams and Zanaia Brown. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
