We announce the death of Blanchie Marlowe (Chadbourn, North Carolina), who passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 94. Blanchie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis S. Ward and Nellie Gore Ward; her spouse Barsley A. Marlowe; and her siblings, J. D. Ward, Leamon Ward, Sterling Ward, Thurman Ward, Ruby Hardee, Grace Blackman and Mattie Evans.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, AnneMarie Faulk (Randle), Nathan Faulk, Adam Faulk (Rebekah) and Destinie Ward (Stephen); her great grandchildren, Vanessa (Will), Taylor, Addison, Liam, Conner (Katie), Isaac and Drake; and her sister Faye Gore.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Old Dock Methodist Church (232 Dock Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Angel House.
