It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Williamson (Chadbourn, North Carolina), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jay Williamson and Ethel Nance Williamson; his wives, Nina Mercer Williamson and Louvenia Williams Williamson; and his siblings, Wilbur Williamson, Louise Smith, Dorothy Wilburn, Rachel Thompson, Jay Dewey Williamson and Kay Williamson.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Gail Greene (Perry) of Monroe, Mark A. Hammonds (Mary) of West Jefferson, Kathy H. Hughes (Philip) of Wilmington and Brenda H. Ward (Criss) of Hendersonville; his grandchildren, Nina Curry (Jeff), Kendel Cichocki, Brenna McLain (Justin), Resa Greene, Courtney Clifton (Justin), Sarah Hester (Ryan), Mary Hannah Hughes, Madison Hughes and Matthew Ward; and his great grandchildren, Austin Cichocki, Klaire Cichocki, Spencer Cichocki, Ethan McLain, Aaron McLain, Benjamin McLain, Alissa Curry, Alex Curry, Grayson Clifton, Hunter Clifton and Ryleigh Hester.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Worthington Funeral Home (405 E Strawberry Blvd, Chadbourn, NC 28431). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
