She was predeceased by: her parents, William Arthur Bright and Eudell Long Todd; her grandson Matthew Turbeville; and her siblings, Jerry Bright and Charles Bright.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Dacus; her children, Donna Turbeville (Glenn), Lisa Nobles (Danny) and Scott Buffkin (Amie); her stepchildren, Mike Dacus (Jennifer), Renee Brooks (Dale) and Beth Evans (Scott); and her sister Eunice Sellers (Gene). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Worthington Funeral Home (405 E Strawberry Blvd, Chadbourn, NC 28431). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Old Stone Church Cemetery (101 Stone Cir, Clemson, SC 29631).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Angel House or to Donayre Cancer Care Center.
