It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Farrell (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Rudolph McGhee and Frances McGhee; her husband George Robert Farrell Sr.; and her brother Carl McGhee. She is survived by: her children, George Robert Farrell Jr., Craig Farrell (Tracy), Curt Farrell (Kay) and Carla Reil (John); and her brother Clarence "Pete" McGhee (Sylvia). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance (ncdsalliance.org), in honor of her great grandson, Malachi Wetzel in lieu of flowers.
