Charles Newmark Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Newmark in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2026 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Newmark to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Abe Newmark and Esther Newmark. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sister Phyllis Newmark; his children, Steve Newmark, Beth Jones (Brad) and Erica Krieg (Rob); and his grandchildren, Scott, Andrew Newmark, Charlie, Kate Jones, Jason, Wes and Taylor Krieg.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Carolina Club (150 Stadium Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Orange County Animal Services Community Giving Fund and UNC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fund.
