It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Jerome Foushee of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Eunice Delores James Farrington (Foushee) and Alfred Louis Foushee; his uncle Eugene Gracy; his grandmother Shiloh; his grandchildren, Katrena B. Horton, Presiding Elder, Larnie G. Horton, Sr. and Bryan, Jr.; his godmother Esphur Foster; his stepfather Melvin Clifton Farrington, Sr.; his grandparents, Jacob Monroe James, Minnie Lee Cuthberton James, Garland Foushee and Osa Mae Trice Foushee; his brother-in-law Albert David Green, Jr.; his sister Arminta Denise Foushee (Geoffrey H. Simmons); his daughters, Ranada Auntrice Hester (Bryan, Sr.) and Caroline Blackwell; his grandchildren, Bryan Everette Hester, Jr., Nalah Priscilla Hester, Rhianna Lunsford and Erica Lunsford; his aunts, Marlou Jean Pippin (James Merritt) and Deborah Gracy-Tucker (Ronald); his great-aunt Hattie Ruth Dennis; his great-uncle Rev. Norris N. Trice (Lovie); his nephew Christian Jacobi Foushee-Green; his godmother Chartie Booth Parrish (Douglas); his aunt Charley Foster Norwood (Gregory Earl Norris); his pets, Coco, Lyric and Bowie; and also, Northside, Bessie Cordell, Markethia, Bessine and Charmain. He was also cherished by relatives, cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the St. Paul AME Church (101 N Merritt Mill Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27511).
