He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Wheeler and Emmie Norris Wheeler; and his wife Shirley Wheeler. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Wheeler (Wendi) of Chapel Hill, Brian Wheeler (Lucy) of Chapel Hill and Eddie Wheeler of Knightdale.
